DEVELOPING CLEAN ENERGY OPPORTUNITIES

At CleanGen, we unlock the potential of rural land by transforming it into wind and solar farms that deliver enduring benefits to local communities, the environment and the economy. Our approach helps farmers secure a long-term passive income stream that effectively drought proofs their land, while local communities gain from new job opportunities, increased revenue from food and accommodation, and a dedicated community benefits sharing plan. Ultimately, our clean energy solutions drive environmental sustainability and prosperity for all.

Koovashni established CleanGen in 2012 with a bold vision: to accelerate the clean energy transition by creating innovative clean energy power stations. As Managing Director, she leads the company’s strategic investment initiatives—sourcing, evaluating, and optimising opportunities—while managing day-to-day operations.

With more than 35 years in the energy sector, Koovashni is a dedicated champion of renewable solutions. Her entrepreneurial drive has been pivotal in advancing clean energy for over two decades. She also possesses detailed knowledge of renewable development, investment, energy trading, and operations—expertise that underpins her success in identifying and capitalising on emerging opportunities. In April 2021, she co-launched ACE Power with a team of global renewable energy enthusiasts, leveraging CleanGen’s robust 1.3GW solar and battery pipeline. Her innovative spirit was further demonstrated in 2005 when she introduced Australia’s first retail solar hot water and solar power services based on a service payment plan. Earlier, as Finance Director at Wind Power, she played a key role in developing wind farm projects.

Koovashni’s extensive corporate background includes senior leadership roles at Industry Funds Management, AGL, Energy Australia, Integral, Delta, and Pacific Power. She holds a Bachelor of Business from Charles Sturt University and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
